Doing Nothing

If doing nothing at all was possible, I think I accomplished that. I had a free movie coupon which expires tomorrow, so I thought I'd head down to Regal to see Tropic Thunder, because online it didn't say I couldn't use a pass. Upon getting there, I was informed that I couldn't see it with my free pass, so I said screw it and went and saw Death Race which was at the same time. It was a decent popcorn flick, but the actual most entertaining part was the trailers, seeing that there is a new Fast and Furious, but with the original cast. I enjoyed the first one and actually can't wait for this second to come out, screw the critics.
After seeing Death Race, I went over to the later showing of Tropic Thunder, so I did end up seeing it anyway, Regal sucks. Hollywood sucks, the system sucks. It was a good flick and I'd definitely suggest it over Death Race.

Then there was nothing to do after this so i've done nothing, and no pictures again. This is what my life feels like right now, besides having someone trying to steal my riches, or having riches for that matter.

Just living the dream..

Something Special, Unforgettable

Here's the night shot from the other night, out of STUVI 1,
Pretty tight, and that gre at big glob of yellow on the left side is the moon sitting on the city.

So yesterday I was walking around the streets after applying to a couple of stores, fingers crossed. And at first I didnt realize it but there was a lady pusing a stroller, not too out of the ordinary, then i looked closer as she stopped to give the baby a bottle, however it wasn't a baby at all but a dog! So I turned around to try and take an unconspicuous picture, which is hard when you're pointing a camera at someone. But you can kind of see in the photo.

After that I went over to a friends for a little hippie fest/ tie dye party. Be on the look out for some one of a kind EXHIBIT A shirtsss (and thongs).

We had a good 3 hour fiesta of tie dying, basically a shit show.

Slow day

Still haven't gotten out to put in some apps. Instead I've been relaxing, well not really. I walked about 10+ miles not including what I ran earlier. The roads just never end here, like my mind as it wanders as I walk block by block. So, sorry no real pics today, there are 2, from the lounge of STUVI (Student Village numero uno, the second one in the works looks bigger and better however), but I've got to play with them because my night shots don't come out too bright, but there nightscapes of Beantown. That building you're paying for the view that's for sure.

But you came here for something to look at, I know. So check out these videos. Mike Benson out on the west coast has been making some crazy snowboarding flicks, entertaining and pushing what is possible with the genre I'd say.

Back at it like a Blog habit

Summers over, back in Boston.

I spent the morning naked eating corn flakes, then I decided this afternoon to go to the old stomping ground and pretend like i was a tourist, or something like that.

There were tourists and foreigners all over the place.

There was some new talent/ idiots running around too.

I dont know if it was bike night, or pretend your a biker night but these guys were in attendance.

So, I guess there is a new trend too, tell me where this comes from, or who buys these....
Nighties to go, I wish I had come up with those...notttt and who wears the it's 5 o'clock somewhere one to bed, unless you're an absolute drunk, but besides that one the others were mostly of cats, which I'm assuming are the only people who buy these, Cat people (aka lonely ladies with cats all over)

Then i went down to the pier and saw that some pirates had come and parked next to the yachts of the richies.
And more were coming, by boat and plane (look close)

Then for our amusement they put on some music:
Which was pretty lame unless you were old and in love:
Just kidding they were actually quite dope
But I had to peace out, not as in style as this guy though (check the skateboarders around him, they applauded as he drove by).

Then I came across my dream houses, any wife takers??
8 mil no problem, but here's my second choice

Then i went to my new place and checked out the inside

Keeping it real since now,
So keep on coming by gonna hopefully keep this updated.

I Gots Paid

Put the game on, it's playing right now.

Harvard, yes the school sent me a solid check this week, for just being so cool and not going to there school. No, but seriously, they did some work on my brain (MRI accompanied by memory questions, online testing, then a mental challange in one of there buildings) because I'm a legal genius (not even close) but to have a check written to you from them, is the beginning to a phenoms story.

Then check this site, firstshowing.net.
I've come across it before but never had the chance to dig in. And if you're a movie fan, or actor/director follower, it's something you're going to want to check, and I'll be adding it the the sites that I check daily. There were a few things that I had heard, before checking the site, that I found a lot more about.
First off: Throughout the month there is currently some re-taping of Where the Wild Things Are. The film, directed by Spike Jonze, is in the hands of Warner Brothers, and it looks like what Jonze first put together was "too weird and too scary." They're looking for a more "family" type of flick. I do have to say that this is obnoxious really, let the creative aspect do what he wants, but I understand the whole Hollywood shenanigans. But at least Maurice Sendak is in on it, so it should be true to his original story, which if you haven't seen it, check it out.
In the same category was the interview with M. Night Shyamalan, who tries to go against the grain and do his own thing, full props to that. His next film, The Happening is due out this Friday, and even with the no current income on a weekly basis, I do want to check it.

Also, if you check highsnobiety, you may have seen several pairs of Nike nylon kicks, what's the deal with those??

If you have any idea I'd like to hear it.
I'm out.

Game 1

And it goes to the Celts! Sick nasty with it. Well at least it was a good game and everyone who watched got to see KG mouth several times, "Mother Fucker." I'm a little short on material as of now, cause of this exciting life i lead. Haven't had much time at the computer in a few as the job hunt is still taking place, this is the shittiest thing around really, i could hunt a real animal better than a job at this point.

I'll be back when i can.

Shredding the snow gnar

I know, I know, it's summer. But that doesn't mean we can't discuss a little snowboarding. And who wouldn't mind a nice, fresh, few feet of the white stuff dropping overnight. I know I wouldn't. Although I know it would be a hefty 6 hour drive back to Boston to get my board, in order to shred it, but still I wouldn't complain, cause I do love the snow, and cold. Weird I know, but its my inner penguin. Speaking of Penguins, they put up a fight for it tonight against Detroit but unfortunately they lost. It was a nice season and better luck next year for sure. Ok back to boarding, it looks like Mack Dawg Productions, who has been in the snowboarding film game for 20 years now, and ten years ago dropped Decade, is doubling up for Double Decade due out this fall, it looks to be an instant classic. Check out the teaser...

I've watched it about a dozen or so times now and it looks just as ill each time.

Also I still need to check out this video, out from the wileys at DC, who are always doing crazy shiz, but the DC Mountain Lab 1.5 video looks absolutely insane. Mainly in part to team manager Ken Block rocking his Subaru rally car off a 171 foot jump and pulling the riders around on the snow. Todd Richards says it best, "Get that damn car off of the hill."

It looks dope and hopefully sometime this summer I see the entire thing.

That's all folks, keep the shredding alive.

P.S. Let's hope for a good NBA Finals, Go Celts.

Movies

On movie news it looks like a Documentary will be coming out on one of my heroes, Mr. Hunter S. Thompson. Entitled Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, it appears the film will delve into his life, and include never before seen audio, video, and manuscripts. Here is the trailer:

Opening July 4 it seems, meaning only a month away. Along with the film, I hope to this summer (after reading the 3 books collecting dust on my desk) read a biography that I saw at the local book store the last time I was there. For those of you who don't know who Hunter was, if you've seen the film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, the book with the same title was written by him ( by the way I also highly suggest reading the book, as it is just as insane and a hell of a story. I've also read The Rum Diary, which as I constantly keep checking back to IMDB, it looks like at some point it is going to be made starring as of right now, Johnny Depp. I still need to check out his film and book, Where the Buffalo Roam, which the movie stars Bill Murray as the Doctor.

Apart from Thomspon a new flick featuring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly titled Step Brothers looks like a nice little comedy flick for the summer. Check out the red band trailer below or get your own copy from apple movie trailers (another favorite site of mine).

That's it for now my minions.

You know how it is...keep it real

Tuesday Tunes day.

Tuesday and I'm a few days late but it's June. Sick. Although I'm still unemployed, a true bum is what I've become, for the most part I don't mind. So, if any of you have seen the Justice video Dance, here it is.

I'm a fan of the electronic beats and the music video itself is tight.

Now those of you who are hip-hop fans, here is a name that you should be hearing soon enough, Wale. He is making some noise and his current cd Mix Tape About Nothing is available for free, in collaboration with clothing company 10 Deep. But he just did a Justice remix seen below.

For those of you Wu-Tang fans, the Rza, an avid chess fanatic has teamed up with some other chess groups and put together Wuchess.com a hip- hop chess site where people can play and listen.

I do have some more info I want to share with ya, so I may drop another story latro.
Peace dogs

Back in Action

Well, well, well, it's been awhile. These past couple of weeks I can't really tell you what i've been doing, besides not working, not getting a job, sitting at my computer for hours doing absolutely nothing. It's time to get back on the hustle, doing some designing, hopefully getting at that website, and then once some money comes my way, getting some new designs printed. If anyone reads this, pass the word on to your friends, and any ideas for clothes or graphics, we would love to hear them. But until next time, here is a little fun for ya: hope you are fans of Flight of the Concords, if not, you should be. Also if you like impersonations here is a guy who thinks he's great but really NOT.
Thanks for the second from my good friend AG.
And if anyone is looking for some good time wasting besides stumbling, then check out the Arab Parrot.

Day 9

Happy Earth Day.

Yesterday, was two words, Marathon Monday. My first one ever, and it was sick. People running, people partying, everyone having a good day, and gnarlyiest of all NO CLASSES. Next year, maybe I'll be running in in myself but we will have to see with that option. But here are a few pics from the sunny marathon monday:

Hope everyone else enjoyed their Patriot's Day. In honor of earth day, BE GREEN-

Day 5,6,7

Another weekend has widdled itself away, although tomorrow is a Boston holiday with no school for the annual and prestigious Boston Marathon,I'm hoping to catch a glimpse of Lance or Katie Holmes as they are both competing. Otherwise the day should go by pretty fast with all of the festivities and chaos bound to happen.
Unfortunately for last night at the Three 6 mafia concert the sound continually died sporadically which led to them being bummed and me being bummed. Until next year. Besides that the past few days have flown by, giving me little time to blog up. But other than that the sun has been shining and life has been easy, letting the good times roll. Until next time, be easy.

Day 4

Day 4 day 4,
Well, written on the morning of day 5, but same difference. Basically because not that much is new on my part. No new designs.

But there were some things that really pumped me up, first was the new Burton snowboards for next season, as the worked not only with artist Futura, but also with Playboy for a whole line of boards, and according to Highsnobiety, there will also be girls on other gear besides boards. Which, although the season has come to an end, with last weekend being the final outing, next season can only come soon enough.

On the movie front, here are a few previews of some flicks that I can't wait for:
first is the Strangers, it kind of seems like your basic Michael Myers meets Saw almost which is fine by me.

But just that whole sequence with Liv Tyler standing in the kitchen and the masked person walking and and it keeping a steady shot for an extended period of time just gives me shivers.

Also we have Mister Lonely. The concept is unique, a whole bunch of characters who act to be famous people. Kind of awkward, just like me so it got me interested

And we will keep the previews to 3 because 3 of anything is quite exciting. This final movie, Shotgun Stories, just looks action packed with a tight storyline, with some superb acting by Michael Shannon, it kind of reminds me slightly of a No Country for Old men. But check out the trailer:

That's all I got for you know, so catch you on the flip side,

Day 3

Well well well,
Day 3 and I'm still getting a post up everyday haha, just got to keep it up. Where to start... First off I want to put up a moment of silence for the series finally of Rob and Big that played yesterday, one of the best shows in my lifetime if you ask me, just made you want to have fun with whatever you did, and have an awesome best friend haha. But hopefully everyone got to see that or if not an episode of it, because you missed out if you didn't. And in there respect I've got to put up a little link for a video of them, be sure to check it out.

Alright now, I said I would post up from the Johnny Cupcakes speech yesterday. So here we go.
The name and Logo
and below we have Johnny himself with a Cupcake:

Just want to say thanks, for the inspiration and advise, it was really appreciated. Look for what he has coming out in the next little bit, it sounds awesome!

Now for today, I had to head over to Harvard to do a little research thingy, so I was there during the middle of the schoolweek as students were out and about, which was a goal of mine and here are a few pics i snapped while not trying to pretend to be a student there wearing my green bandanna and getting plenty of looks, like I do everyday I wear one.
Harvard Yard

They even get some classes taught outside,
when it's sunny.

So, I finally started up on a new shirt design today, and I've got some people interested already, once, it's finished I'll post it up to maybe get some comments off of it. But if you live in Boston, especially out in Allston, this is what you're looking for. After this one hopefully we can get some more out for the summer when the livin's e-z. But for now, keep it real.

Day 2

Unfortunately I'm feeling pretty worn down tonight, I was up late and got a few hours of sleep last night. But today was pretty sick, Johnny Cupcakes came and had a nice presentation on campus today and it was pretty inspirational, and I've got a lot of respect for him doing it all on his own, but with the ideas he's got it was only right he's doing as well as he is. He made some pretty good points in his speech, Go 110% if it's something you want to do. I'll add some more to this tomorrow with a few pictures I snapped, but until then check his site: Johnny Cupcakes.

keep it real- G

Day 1

Well there is a first time for everything. I've been sitting at my computer a lot lately and for the most part I've been pretty unsuccessful at doing actual schoolwork, or clothing designing. What I have been doing is getting into several different blogs, checking them daily, and today I thought about it for most of the day, finally created my own. So, it's 12 am now and I've done it. Me on a blog. So sorry for the spelling errors and grammatical inconveniences, I know there may be a few. Although I like creative writing, my grammar and spelling are absolutely terrible. Even with years and years of English, and it being my only language that I speak, and write (although thanks to college I have to complete 2 semesters of one before I can graduate) it's still terrible, even with the Eats, Shoots, and Leaves, calendar residing on my cluttered desk (and I tear off a page daily, it's not gaining dust) I still have no skills in the area. So, I'll take whatever advice anyone has for me because it is always useful.

Just cause this is my first bloggy blogging experience here is a quick synopsis on me. I'm in my second year at college at Boston University, I just got here this past fall transferring in. I'm majoring in Film, almost thought of switching to a Graphic Design major, but after looking into it, it would have meant another year of school and a pretty tedious schedule, not what I'm looking for knowing that I only have 2 years left. I co-own a clothing company, which is how I got into blogs, looking at underground and growing labels, and blogs off of certain sites, like www.highsnobiety.com which I check on a regular basis now, looking at the new collaborations and lines coming out, real gnarly site, check that business if you got time. But a friend and I wanted to start up our own line, and since high school have semi gotten into graphics, were semi-skilled, and our first stuff is real basic, but hopefully we can get our name out there, shirt-by-shirt, but our name is Exhibit A Clothing Company, our website is in the process of being made, thanks to school and other affairs that kids our age are dealing with. Thinking about it now I should be working on that affair besides making up this blog, but anyways maybe this will help get the name out there. When the sites up it will be at www.exaclothing.com and from there you can get to the current site up through my .mac account. I'd love to hear opinions and that action on anything we have up, or ideas for the future, we're a two man company and help from the people who will wear our shirts are what we'd like most. A for the people by the people objective, because if we don't like our designs we won't print them number one, but if we can change things and make things better for you guys, hit us up and let us know. Unfortunately it's not a link you have to copy paste the .mac site and for that matter I'll put it right here: http://web.mac.com/toomeyg/iWeb/EXHIBIT%20A%20Clothing%20Company/Home.html
and maybe that works better.

I'm trying to think of what else for now haha.
I enjoy movies, any kind I'll watch your chick flick, to horror movie and years don't matter a movies a movie. I need a new camera and maybe when I get a job with a little money, if it's not going towards the company I'll invest on my own and post personal projects up here. But I'll finally be taking a production class next year so that will help to. But I'll probably also put up personal reviews or feelings on movies which I would be sweet to have objections and others opinions on what I'm thinking, cause in no way am I going to be right, film major or not, and I'm always down for other's thoughts, so let me know. Alright well for now I'm out, it's been a bit of writing which means you have to read all this bologna and I hope you do, and come back, cause call me a rookie and I'll hopefully figure those ins and outs and make this enjoyable for everyone. Take it easy-
G
